Citroën - DS 23 Pallas Automatique Borg Warner - 1973

This Citroën DS23 Pallas Automatic Borg-Warner was built in January 1973 at the Citroën factory 'Quai de Javel' in Paris. The car was originally delivered in the Netherlands in 1973 and has been with one family ever since. Exterior: The Pallas version adds an extra dimension of luxury and style, with high-quality materials and comfort features that make the DS 21 stand out in its class. From the soft, spacious interior to the refined details that are typical for this Pallas edition: everything exudes the atmosphere of craftsmanship and French class. Over the years the family has not only mechanically refreshed the car but also restored it. The bodywork is beautifully thin and the gaps are correct. The car has been repainted in the color AC421 ‘Rouge Bordeaux’ and still looks very good. The body panels feature new paint on both interior and exterior. The DS has subsequently been rebuilt with new window and door seals. The sunroof is not functional. The underside of the Citroën is in good condition. The load-bearing section has been refurbished in the past. The trim pieces are made of stainless steel and chrome. The condition of the trim can be described as good. The car has accumulated minimal signs of use over the years. Engine: Originally only 69,040 KM with a National Autopass Certificaat The engine is a 2.3-liter carbureted four-cylinder inline engine delivering 110 hp and, in this case, paired with the rare fully automatic transmission sourced from Borg-Warner. Also equipped with a Weber carburetor. In addition, it features an LPG installation. The suspension system was completely overhauled during restoration, with several parts newly installed. Interior: The interior is completely original. The leather upholstery is black. The whole is in good condition. The authentic leather upholstery is free from serious damage and does show the necessary patina. The seats, rear bench, and door panels are in original condition, and the beautiful, fine leather smells wonderful. The carpets are still original and still equipped with the original headlining. The seat belts are still the originals. The instruments and control elements all look neatly cared for and are also completely original. The DS interior therefore has a wonderful look. Furthermore the DS offers the following options: Rear window heating, automatic transmission, leather upholstery, Jaeger instruments, middle armrest in the rear, middle armrest in the front, power braking, power steering, hydropneumatic suspension with level control, hubcaps, Jaeger clock, sun visors, bumper horns, left and right external mirrors, manually operated sunroof (not working) and a trailer hitch The vehicle is of original Dutch origin. The Citroën has been in the same family for the second time. The DS was appraised in 2017, appraisal report is available.
