This ring from our workshop is a classic entourage ring. This ring design, in which a larger central stone is surrounded by diamonds, is named after the French word entourage, meaning accompaniment or retinue. Entourage rings are among the classic designs in the history of jewellery. They appear in every century, always adapted to the prevailing fashion of their time. In the present ring from our workshop, a natural sapphire forms the centre of the design. The gemstone displays a beautiful mid-blue colour, reminiscent of a sunny afternoon with scarcely a cloud in the sky and radiant sunshine. Fourteen brilliant-cut diamonds of very good quality and fine white colour frame the central stone, surrounding it with festive sparkle. Two additional diamonds adorn the shoulders of the ring. In total, the diamonds amount to 0.24 carats. All gemstones are set in warm, lustrous high-carat yellow gold. The ring was designed with optimal wearing comfort in mind. Thanks to its low-profile construction and gemstone settings without intrusive claws, it can be worn comfortably on a daily basis. The shoulders of the ring are decorated on the sides with delicate ornaments inspired by designs from around 1890; all elements are kept as fine and restrained as possible, allowing the beauty of the gemstones to take centre stage. The ring was made entirely in Germany for us, in workshops in Pforzheim, Idar-Oberstein and here in Berlin. The gemstones are used here for the first time in a piece of jewellery.
