Desk Clock 'Lalande' in Blue Crystal Savinel & Roze for Baccarat, 1995 Limited Edition – French Manufacture At the heart of Baccarat's timeless elegance, the Lalande desk clock unfolds like a crystal wave captured in the moment, where time bends to the grace of a sinuous design. Designed in 1995 by master glassmakers Savinel & Roze for the prestigious Baccarat House, this exceptional piece in translucent blue crystal evokes the subtle folds of a marine cloak, a crescent with fluid, rhythmic contours that enclose a minimalist dial of absolute purity. The immaculate white circle, adorned with discreet hands and a cursive Baccarat inscription, rests on a Swiss quartz movement of impeccable precision, while the iridescent reflections of the crystal diffuse a serene light, like the glow of dawn on the waters of the Moselle. Measuring 7.5 cm in height, 8 cm in width and 3.5 cm in depth, this compact clock transcends utilitarian objecthood to become a talisman of refinement, ideal for a Haussmannian office or a contemporary cabinet of curiosities. Its crystal, blown and hand-cut in Baccarat’s Lorraine workshops, captures the essence of artisanal craftsmanship where each facet tells a story of light and frozen movement. Founded in 1764 under Louis XV’s aegis in the Lorraine city of Baccarat, the Manufacture established itself from its origins as the jewel of French crystal, official supplier to royal and imperial courts—from Versailles to the palaces of tsars and maharajas. A pioneer of lead glass in the 19th century, Baccarat illuminated Art Nouveau and Modernism, from the chandeliers of the Normandie ocean liner to the White House service sets, embodying sovereign luxury allied with bold innovation. Today, under the guidance of its master glassblowers, the House perpetuates this secular heritage, where each piece is a unique work forged by exceptional hands in the respect of a craftsmanship registered in the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. A symbol of aristocratic discretion, the Lalande invites measured contemplation of time, a blue whisper of sophistication for connoisseurs who collect not hours, but eternal moments. Rare piece, issued from a limited production, it elevates daily space into a sanctuary of pure crystal. Images are part of the description. Shipping insured and, if possible, available for collection at a pickup point."}
