This is a traditional wooden Frisian tail clock (or a variant thereof such as a schippertje), presumably from the 20th century, with a hand-painted dial, moon phase indicator and characteristic figures atop the hood: • Material: oak wood with brass weights and ornaments. • Dial: equipped with Roman numerals and a painted scene with the moon phase at the top. • Ornaments: three loose figurines on top of the hood • Movement: a mechanical movement with hanging weights and pendulums.
