Coat rack - Oak - Art Deco wall coat rack

Very decorative Art Deco wall coat rack. The coat rack dates from the 1920s or 1930s of the previous century, and is made of oak. The coat rack is 63 cm wide, 38 cm high and 32 cm deep. It weighs about 3.5 kg. The coat rack has probably been repaired at some point. at the top you can see on the right a later-inserted slat into which the wooden bars have been slid. The original holes are also visible (see photos). This repair was made a long time ago and gives the coat rack extra decorative value. Also at the back some repairs have been carried out (see photos). All these repairs were made by a craftsman. they are neat but functional, and that gives this coat rack so much character. It is not a refined antique piece, but a beautiful well-used piece of furniture whose signs of use bear witness to its history. As the hanging part a sturdy steel tube is mounted. The gray of the steel pairs very nicely with the dark oak (see photos). The coat rack is varnished and particularly sturdy and stable. Beautiful but also still functional! The coat rack is carefully packaged and insured for shipment.
