800 silver tea and coffee service complete with tray – total weight approximately 4.2 kg Elegant and substantial tea and coffee service in silver, consisting of a tray, coffee pot, teapot, cream jug, and sugar basin, characterized by refined workmanship in a classic goût and rich decorative details. The service features a handsome rounded, contoured silhouette, with worked edges and volute decorations, elaborate handles, and neobaroque-inspired touches. The teapot and the sugar basin are adorned with ornamental elements that give the set a particularly dignified character. The service is traceable to the tradition of the Catanese silversmiths and belonged to a Sicilian aristocratic family. According to family provenance, the silversmith operated in Catania and produced pieces for wealthy families of high society and local nobility, a fact that adds historical and collectible interest to the set. The set has not been subjected to professional polishing and is presented in its current state. The silver shows oxidation, natural patina, and superficial marks and scratches from use and time. A striking ensemble, suitable both for use and as a silver collectible/display piece. Total weight: approximately 4.2 kg. Material: silver, with hallmarks present on the individual pieces.
