Beautiful antique hand-operated coffee grinder in a stately architectural column model, made entirely of heavy, solid brass. This quality collectible dates from the early 20th century (circa 1900-1930) and comes from Western Europe. The grinder has a very robust construction and weighs no less than 1.6 kg, which testifies to the high-quality material choice and craftsmanship of that era. The design stands out for its elegantly curved top and bottom plates and the four semi-circular decorative corner columns. The grinder is equipped with a swiveling funnel lid and a full brass sliding tray with a round brass knob in which the ground coffee is collected. The underside is closed with an authentic brass base plate, secured with four original antique slotted screws. Condition: The coffee grinder is in a beautiful, authentic antique condition with a wonderful patina built up over the years. There are light signs of aging and minimal stains/oxidation visible that contribute to the historical character. The manual grinding mechanism and the handle turn smoothly. Dimensions: Height: 24 cm.
