Coffee table - Mahogany - antique work table

This worktable, dating probably from the late 19th or early 20th century, illustrates the enduring appeal of craftsmanship from the Victorian era. The central floral marquetry on the tabletop provides a decorative focal point, while the turned spindle legs and the reinforcing base are characteristic of turned furniture styles from the 1800s. Collectors value these pieces for their versatility as functional end tables or sewing tables and for their aesthetic warmth. Market value is influenced by the condition of the marquetry, the quality of the wood, and the structural integrity of the turned legs. These tables remain popular for their compact footprint and their classic and ornamental charm.
