Collection of (49) 1956 Milwaukee Braves related snapshot photographs with many autographed. Interesting collection of color photographs (3"x5.25") showing members of the Braves, others related to the organization, and attendees at the Baseball Writers (Milwaukee chapter) dinner during the 1956 seasons. Signed photos of rostered players/coaches include Fred Haney, Frank Torre, Felix Mantilla, Gene Conley, Taylor Phillips, Wes Covington, Danny O'Connell, Bob Trowbridge, Red Murff, Charlie Root, and Jim Pendelton. There are a number of additional signed photos of people with ancillary relation to the team including some who worked at the stadium and others who covered them in the press. A small selection of images taken at the Baseball Writers event include signed pieces from Eddie Mathews, Ford Frick, Warren Giles, Ray Crone (and wife), George F. McBride, and Chuck Tanner. In addition there is a Fred Haney and Charlie Root dual-signed photo (from the event) and a photo of Paul Dean with small cut signature affixed by tape. Rounding out the lot are some unsigned pieces which include interesting views of the Braves clubhouse door and a picture of the inside (with travel trunks on display). Signatures range from 6 to 9 out of 10. Each piece has a "Kodacolor" mark on the back which includes 1956 date and most have handwritten identifiers. Light scattered wear.
