A collection of vintage and modern postcards focused on the history and fleet of the Holland-America Line. The grouping features exterior ship portraits at sea and in harbor, detailed interior views of passenger lounges and promenade decks, and maritime travel illustrations. Represented vessels include the ms Volendam, ms Zaandam, ss Rotterdam, ss Nieuw Amsterdam, and ss Ryndam. The collection contains both unused and postally used examples dating from the early 20th century to the early 21st century. Many cards feature handwritten personal messages, international postage stamps, and distinct postmarks from global ports of call including Panama, Jamaica, France, and the Bahamas.
