Collection of approximately 25 vintage postcards and maritime ephemera, primarily mid-20th century, focused on ocean liners and Caribbean cruise history. The group includes linen-type, black-and-white, and chromolithograph postcards alongside a formal passenger list booklet. Notable vessels depicted include the S.S. Munargo of the Munson Steamship Lines, the S.S. Yarmouth Castle of Yarmouth Cruise Lines, the S.S. Queen of Nassau, and the S.S. Nuevo Dominicano of the Eastern Shipping Corp. The collection also features a Home Lines passenger list for the M.V. Homeric, which bears the printed name of Master Giordano Stefani. Geographic subjects include aerial and harbor views of Miami, Florida; Nassau, Bahamas; the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company in Virginia; and a harbor scene of Galveston, Texas. Several postcards are postally used, showing various cancellations and stamps. A 1919 Galveston card bears a printed mark reading Harbor Scene, Galveston, Texas... Pub. by Seawall Specialty Co., Galveston, Tex. and is postmarked HOUSTON, TEX. SEP 11 1919 with a two-cent red US postage stamp. Other visible postmarks include MIAMI, FLA. SEP 1 1940 and NASSAU BAHAMAS FEB 9 1952 featuring one penny and two pence stamps. Dimensions: See Desc.
