The collection brings together a broad panorama of audiovisual adaptations of the universe created by Hergé: Tintin’s animated adventures, several feature films, an animated film, documentaries and various reports dedicated to Tintin and to its author. Among the titles present are notably The Blue Lotus, Tintin in Tibet, The Seven Crystal Balls, The Castle of the Solider, Destination Moon, We’ve Made It to the Moon, The Secret of the Unicorn, The Red Rackham’s Treasure, Tintin in America, The Cigars of the Pharaoh, The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Mystery of the Eerie Star, The Calculus Affair, The Castafiore Emerald, Flight 714 to Sydney and Tintin and the Picaros. The collection also includes several important cinema and audiovisual productions from the Tintin universe, including Tintin and the Mystery of the Golden Fleece, Tintin and the Blue Oranges, Tintin and the Lake of Sharks, as well as various documentaries and reports dedicated to Hergé and his work. Each DVD is accompanied by its corresponding documentary booklet, providing additional information about the adventure, the characters, the creation context and the Tintin universe. Hergé, pseudonym of Georges Remi (1907-1983), is one of the major authors in the history of European comics. Creator of Tintin in 1929, he profoundly marked the ninth art with his emblematic graphic style, usually associated with “ligne claire” (clear line). Tintin’s adventures achieved immense international success and have been the subject of numerous adaptations in cinema, television and animation. Condition: overall in good to very good general condition. A particularly notable point: 33 of the 34 DVDs are still in their original blister, i.e. about 97% of the collection. Only the DVD “Tintin in Tibet” has been unboxed. The booklets show some normal storage and handling traces, including light marks, rubbing or stains on some edges. The large red cardboard box also shows some signs of use and handling visible in the photos. It is therefore not a fully mint set, despite 33 DVDs still sealed. DVD box dimensions: about 33 × 20 × 14 cm. Dimensions of the 34 booklets set: about 24 × 20 × 15 cm. Dimensions of one booklet: about 19.3 × 15.5 cm. Weight noted: about 3.280 kg for the DVDs and 4.138 kg for the booklets, i.e. a total weight of about 7.418 kg excluding shipping packaging.
