Colombia. 10 Centavos 1959 - NGC MS66 (No reserve price)

COLOMBIA. 10 Centavos. 1959 - Value: 10 Centavos. - Year: 1959. - Inscriptions: Obverse: DIEZ CENTAVOS · CALARCÁ. Reverse: REPÚBLICA DE COLOMBIA · 1959. - Grade: MS66 (NGC). 10 Centavos coin featuring a right-facing profile of Calarcá, an indigenous chief historically associated with the resistance of the peoples of the territory of present-day Quindío during the Spanish conquest. The obverse presents an idealized portrait with a strongly indigenous character, with a feathered headdress and the denomination DIEZ CENTAVOS, while the reverse shows Colombia’s coat of arms crowned by a condor with outstretched wings. A specimen in outstanding condition, with very sharp relief, clean fields, and abundant original luster, accompanied by light natural toning. The high MS66 grade awarded by NGC confirms its excellent quality among mid-20th-century Colombian circulating issues.
