An 18th Century George the Second writ of execution from Newport county Rhode Island. Dated: 1733. Printed lettering with pen and ink. A writ of execution lodged by one Rebecca May of Bradford, Connecticut, against one Samuel Pike of Newport, Rhode Island. Samuel Pike was ordered to pay what was then the significant sum of one hundred and six pounds, fourteen shillings, and six pence. Signed by George Hazard, the great grandson of Thomas Hazard, one of the founding settlers of Newport, Rhode Island. 12 1/2 x 8 1/4".
