Comme des Garcons (Japanese, founded 1969). Three women's clothing items in pink gingham comprising one cape / shawl with collar, single button closure at neck, multiple ruffles and layers, and no arm holes or sleeves; one skirt with multiple ruffles and layers, handkerchief hem, elastic waist band with interior drawstring, and single side seam pocket; and one structured skirt with interior boning throughout, gathered ruffle bubble hem, and invisible side seam zipper. First two pieces make matching set, third piece is a slightly darker pink and smaller gingham. All pieces appropriately marked, 100% cotton, and made in Japan. Cape size small, marked AD2011; elastic waist skirt size small, marked AD2011; structured skirt size medium, marked AD2004. Approximate dimensions: Provenance: Private Collection, Atlanta, GA.
