Mid-19th-century lithograph (1858), printed by Lemercier in Paris, after a drawing co-signed by Count Paul de Lavenne de Choulot, landscape architect, and the architect Pierre-Joseph Olive. This document constitutes the founding view of the subdivision of Le Vésinet, one of the very first examples of a garden city in France, carried out at the initiative of the Société Alphonse Pallu & Cie. One copy of this plate is preserved at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (shelf GE C-6915). - Dimensions: 80.7 x 58.8 cm - Condition: Good condition. Sheet folded at its center, some foxing and browning. See photos for more details. - Paul de Lavenne, born in Nevers on January 31, 1794, and died on April 4, 1864, was a French landscape architect of the 19th century who designed more than 300 parks in France and in Europe.
