I offer, with no reserve, this must-have of tableware that is quintessentially French. This silvered metal Coquillor-Glace butter keeper and cooler, model "Coquillor-Glace", made in France in the 1950s-1960s, is an iconic piece. The Coquillor-Glace offers a technical innovation to address a recurring issue of the era: temperature management at the table. Ice shavings or very cold water were placed inside. During the 1950s and 1960s, the Coquillor established itself as a centerpiece of the bourgeoisie and festive meals in France. Considered by some tableware enthusiasts as a marvel of French craftsmanship. Highly sought after by vintage-object collectors and retro-table enthusiasts, it has become a nostalgic collectible that bears witness to the poetry and culinary know-how of days gone by. 16 x 14.5 cm; height approx. 5 cm; weight 275 g. This object is in good condition with minor signs of use, light scratches and oxidation. The item is as shown in the photos.
