Cori Amenta - Statue

The work "PUPPO: Le Teste dell'artista" Cori Amenta is a fascinating encounter between the timeless symbol of Sicily and contemporary art. Cori Amenta, a talented artist, also known as a designer, stylist and DJ, has created a collection of unique objects that capture the essence of freedom in every form. The work is inspired by the concept of freedom and its provocative representation. Contrary to conventions, the "Mori", symbols of Sicily, are not presented in pairs, but in an extraordinary totality that challenges expectations. This bold interpretation conveys a sense of wholeness and unity. Puppu represents the primordial creature of the abyss, a genderless figure that symbolizes transformation and mimesis. Cori Amenta has channeled her negative emotions into creativity, allowing her head, with octopus tentacles in place of hair, to speak for her and for all of us. This artistic expression is a hymn to respect and the freedom to be oneself, promoting acceptance and diversity.
