Painter and graphic artist. Born in Dolo (Venice), Italy, 1938. Died in The Hague, 2019. He was active in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany. After earning his degree in Surveying and Civil Engineering in Bolzano, Italy, 1957, Simeoni earned his living for the next fourteen years by working on major construction projects in West Africa and Europe, mainly new roads, refineries and oil pipelines. In 1972 - at the age of 33 - he realized that his decision to become a full-time artist had been anticipated for some time; he left his job and opened a studio in Brussels (1972-1979). Brief and frequent stays in Italy and a rather extended one in Westphalia (Germany) characterized his artistic activity over the last fifty years (almost), with major exhibitions in prestigious galleries, museums and art fairs in Italy (Milan, Turin, Bolzano, Novara, Bergamo, Vicenza, Pordenone), Belgium (Brussels), the Netherlands (Amsterdam, The Hague, Lelystad, Rotterdam) and Germany (Frankfurt, Hamburg, Münster, Duisburg, Dortmund, Cologne, Gescher, Moers, Rheinberg, Kevelaer) etc. During his artistic activity, he was married to Emmy Simeoni-Krajenbrink. From 1979 to 2019 he resided in The Hague, the Netherlands. SIMEONI displayed his works in numerous galleries, often prestigious, museums and public institutions in Belgium, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and France. Among the most important: - Isy Brachot, Brussels - Krikhaar, Amsterdam - Nuovo Sagittario, Milan - Cubus Kunsthalle, Duisburg - Steinrötter und Schnake, Münster - Museum Am Ostwall, Dortmund - Olympia-Museum, Cologne - "Early Golf Show" (in various locations in the Netherlands)
