Beautiful and rare 'secret' cocktail watch (cuff/watch hidden) in solid 18-carat gold (750‰) from circa 1950–1960. The clasp concealing the watch forms a magnificent figurative motif in the shape of a belt/band loop, entirely enhanced by genuine diamonds size eight-to-eight / brilliant on platine or white gold. Characteristics & Materials: Metal: Yellow gold 18 carats (750/1000). Official hallmarks: Official French Eagle Head assay mark guaranteeing 18k gold present on the back of the case and on the clasp. Master jeweler/linkmaker hallmark (in a lozenge). Stones: Pavé of genuine diamonds on the loop and on the secret clasp. Bracelet: Wide flexible gold ribbon with chevron / braided mesh, secure click-clasp with eight safety. Dial & Brand: Cream/silver dial signed COSMOS, applied gold-tone markers in relief, gold hands. Gross total weight: ~45 grams (net 18k gold weight estimated to be over 41 g). Condition and Function: Miniature mechanical manually-wound movement functional: the balance ticks regularly, the watch winds up and sets the time without issue. (Routine servicing may be advisable given its age). The secret-clasp spring operates perfectly and closes accurately.
