Cyril Keller - Mangokuss

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland. My passion for art began in the early 1990s with graffiti. Even back then I was drawn to colors, shapes, and the possibility of giving my ideas a unique expression. This lifelong enthusiasm forms the foundation of my work to this day. What shaped me most was my teacher and mentor, the artist Parscha Mirghawameddin. It was with him that I learned to paint. His sense for color, his eye for composition, and his artistic experience were instrumental in my development. As his student, I was able to benefit from a knowledge and a passion that continue to accompany me. I am very grateful to Parscha for sharing his experiences with me and supporting me on my artistic path. Learning from him was a special opportunity. On this basis I developed my own visual language and found my personal approach to painting. Since 2015 I have devoted myself with great enthusiasm to abstract art. I am especially fascinated by the squeegee technique: the interaction of layers of paint, the resulting textures, and the surprising shapes that give each painting its own character. In this process craft, intuition, and joy in experimentation come together. My paintings are meant to enliven spaces, evoke emotions, and bring lasting joy to their viewers. Each work leaves room for personal thoughts and discoveries. It is precisely this openness that makes abstract painting so special to me: a painting can mean something different for everyone and reveal new aspects again and again over time. With each canvas I further develop my work — carried by my artistic roots, the valuable impulses of my teacher, and the desire to create something of my own. The canvas is unstretched and is carefully rolled in a shipping tube. An authenticity certificate is included in the delivery."
