d'Arenberg is a McLaren Vale institution, farmed by the Osborn family since 1912 and led by the flamboyant Chester Osborn. The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon comes from old vines, some dating to the 1920s, trellised in the manner of California rather than head-pruned. 1996 was a well-regarded South Australian vintage.
