Dante Carpigiani (Mirandola 1821 - Bologna 2012) - Sculpture

Dante Carpigiani (Mirandola 1921 - Bologna 2012), sculptor and painter. Full professor for several years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. A quiet artist, but not his works. He directed his attention and studies mainly toward sacred art. The two works, bronzes and terracottas, have found a home, in addition to countless private collectors, in churches, and several pieces are visible at the Certosa of Bologna. The work offered here is a very particular terracotta nude. It measures 63 x 18 x 23 cm, with a base weighing over 8 kg. It shows slight signs of wear consistent with age, as seen in the photographic gallery. We guarantee excellent packing and assistance up to delivery of the goods.
