Dante Carpigiani, sculptor and painter (Mirandola 1921 - Bologna 2012). Full professor for several years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. A quiet artist, but not his works. He directed his attention and studies mainly toward sacred art. His works, especially bronzes and terracottas, have found a home in many churches and several pieces are visible at the Certosa of Bologna. The work presented here is a terracotta study of a man in a frock coat. In good condition, as shown in the photographic gallery. Measures about 37 x 27 x 19 cm. Bears the signature of Carpigiani.
