This vibrant acrylic-on-canvas work addresses the portrait of the famous pop artist Andy Warhol through a prism of neo-expressionism and contemporary Fauvism. The composition stands out for the power of its gestural strokes and the application of pigment through broad, impasto brushstrokes that fragment the figure’s features into blocks of pure color. The face is built from shades of green, yellow, and turquoise, highlighted by the iconic circular-frame glasses and the effervescent silver hair reinterpreted with luminous strokes of yellow and white. The background contrasts a deep cobalt blue on the left with carmine red tones and pink flashes on the right, creating a complementary contrast of great dramatic tension that pays homage to the chromatic mass of pop art while capturing the enigmatic gaze of one of the most influential figures in modern art.
