Crypto Series Movie - Reconstitution of a photo using photos of the represented artist. Artist Photographer – Creator of contemporary images Multidisciplinary photographer artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of image in urban space. He first made himself known through a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Invited by the singular aesthetic of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection. New series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it reveals a richness of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave,” evoking the artist’s subject’s artistic universe. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. An in-depth work is carried out on colors, light and overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent manner. Edition & Production Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with integrated back mounting. Printed on bright white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with UV- and humidity-resistant soft lamination, ensuring excellent durability, long-term stability of colors and a modern, contemporary look. Career Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the chosen photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops a body of work as author and musician, including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. He is a singer-guitarist currently performing with the band FRENZY.
