Unique piece created by a Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1986, requiring nearly 800 hours of work and inspired by a MOF competition model of exceptional technical complexity. This remarkable art grille, known by the name “Versailles,” stems from a model that was used as a reference during a competition of the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. My grandfather, Adrien BRUYERON,, crowned Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1986, chose to create this work in order to perfect his technical mastery and his know-how in preparing his own competition. It is thus an exceptional testament to French artisanal excellence and the quest for perfection that characterizes the MOFs. Designed mainly in steel and brass, this piece required about 800 hours of work. Each element was executed in strict accordance with a particularly demanding specification, imposing great execution precision and a very high level of technicality. The richness of details, the balance of proportions, and the complexity of the assemblies illustrate perfectly the excellence of French artistic ironwork. This grille is both a decorative work, a mastery piece, and a rare collectible. To facilitate its presentation, an ingenious system of two removable pivots was installed at the ends of the grille. This allows it to be displayed open or closed, thus offering different perspectives for appreciating its workmanship and its aesthetics. A unique piece, rich in history, directly linked to the journey of a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, intended for collectors, enthusiasts of artistic blacksmithing, of disciplines of excellence, or of French artisanal heritage.
