Delicate Ring with Gray-Green Tourmaline & Diamonds in Gold, From Our Workshop

Some time ago, we were fortunate enough to acquire a collection of tourmalines and beryls that had been lying dormant in the warehouse of a gem dealer in Stockholm since the 1950s. Our goldsmiths designed a ring to showcase each of these gemstones, accompanied by six diamonds—crafted from sustainable materials, with diamonds that also carry their own history, thereby breathing new life into these historic gemstones. Most of the original tourmalines have now been sold. However, following numerous requests, we set out once again in search of beautiful, vibrant tourmalines and discovered this tourmaline in a truly wonderful colour at our gem dealer in Idar-Oberstein. It is a natural green tourmaline. Its colour is an iridescent green composed of misty-gray and pale green tones. This extraordinary hue gives the stone a wonderful presence. Tourmalines have only been known in Europe since the early 18th century, when Dutch merchants first brought them from East Asia. We love this ring design because it’s simple and lets the beautiful gemstone take center stage. It also pairs wonderfully with other pieces—we have several variations available!
