Stunning natural rough diamond of Indian origin, selected for its VVS quality, excellent transparency, and especially its particularly harmonious crystallization. This specimen stands out for its Near Colorless appearance, extremely bright, combined with broad natural facets that produce powerful silvery reflections. Kept in its rough state, this diamond directly reveals the architecture created during its growth in the depths of the Earth. Its balanced morphology, transparency, and excellent visual condition of its surfaces make it a particularly appealing specimen for a high-level gemological collection. Technical specifications - Stone: Natural rough diamond - Weight: 0.28 carat - Dimensions: 3.3 × 3.0 × 2.6 mm - Origin: India - Descriptive color: Near Colorless - Claimed clarity: VVS - Transparency: Very high - State: Natural rough, unfaceted - Crystallization: Natural, well defined - Quality: Premium selection - Naturalness: 100% natural A remarkable Near Colorless appearance One of the immediate qualities of this diamond is its very low color saturation. The crystal appears essentially colorless to very slightly tinted, with subtle cool reflections and extremely light nuances depending on orientation and lighting. This Near Colorless appearance particularly highlights the transparency of the material. Under direct light, the natural surfaces produce intense white, silver, and almost metallic flashes, giving the crystal a remarkable visual presence. VVS quality and very beautiful transparency The stated VVS quality is one of the main assets of this specimen. The very beautiful transparency allows light to penetrate deeply into the crystal before being reflected by its internal structures and natural surfaces. This light circulation creates an interesting contrast between almost crystalline zones and powerful specular flashes. Macro observation particularly allows appreciating this depth: the diamond does not merely reflect light on the surface, it also reveals a true internal architecture. A particularly aesthetic rough morphology This specimen has a compact and balanced morphology with several broad natural faces. The main face offers a large, relatively regular crystal surface, while peripheral areas show more complex reliefs and growth textures. This alternation is one of the most interesting aspects of the crystal. Some faces act like true natural mirrors, while others display fine growth structures characteristic of diamond formation. When viewed from different angles, the specimen changes its appearance considerably. This is precisely the interest of a kept rough diamond: its geometry was not created by humans but directly by its natural crystallization process. India and the millennial history of diamond Indian origin adds a particularly prestigious historical dimension. India occupies a fundamental place in the history of diamond. For many centuries, it was the main known source of this gem, long before the major diamond discoveries later made in Brazil and then Africa. Diamonds from the Indian subcontinent circulated along the great trade routes since antiquity and gradually entered the treasures of royal and imperial courts across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Owning a rough diamond of Indian origin thus allows combining the mineralogical interest of the crystal with one of the most emblematic provenances in the entire history of gemology. A specimen intended for a premium collection This piece combines an especially attractive mix: 100% natural diamond, Indian origin, stated VVS quality, very high transparency, Near Colorless appearance, and beautiful natural crystal morphology. Its broad reflective surfaces, intense brilliance, and preserved structure allow appreciating the diamond in a form radically different from traditionally faceted stones. A very beautiful piece for a premium collection, ideal for a rough diamond collector, a gemology enthusiast, or any collection seeking natural crystals selected for their transparency and aesthetic quality.
