Dijkstra Lampen - Hanging lamp - UFO - Steel

Special vintage ceiling lamp from the Dutch manufacturer Dijkstra Lamps, executed in a characteristic Space Age / Mid-Century Modern design from about the 1970s. The lamp features a striking, wide metal shade with a brushed bronze/brass finish. The flowing, almost dish-shaped form gives the lamp a distinctly futuristic character that closely aligns with Dutch and European interior design from the sixties and seventies. Light is dispersed downward and around the central section. In the center there is a striking mirrored/chrome-colored head, which forms a beautiful decorative accent both when the lamp is off and when it is on. When the lamp is lit, a warm, atmospheric light circle arises that nicely contrasts with the dark metallic exterior. The lamp can be mounted close to the ceiling and is therefore very suitable as a ceiling light for a living room, hall, bedroom, or stylish vintage interior. Through its sculptural design it is also a decorative object, even when the lighting is not turned on. Condition: the lamp is in good vintage condition with signs of use and age appropriate to its age. In the photos there are, among other things, light scratches and signs of wear on the metal visible. These contribute to the authentic vintage character. The lighting is shown working in the photos. Please review all photos carefully; they form an important part of the condition description. Features: manufacturer Dijkstra Lamps, Netherlands; period probably circa 1970s; style Space Age / Mid-Century Modern; metal dish-shaped shade with brushed metallic bronze/brass finish; light-colored interior and mirrored central element. Electrical installation and fitting as shown in the photos. For collectors of Dutch vintage design, this is a particularly decorative specimen. The combination of the large round shape, warm metallic finish, and indirect light effect makes the lamp highly recognizable for interior design of this period.
