Fossil. An Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth. Fossil: This perfectly preserved very large tooth comes from a theropod of the Abelisauridae, a group of meat-eating dinosaurs. They were recognizable by their extremely short forelimbs, short, deep faces, small sharp teeth, and strongly muscled hind limbs. This tooth comes from an as-yet undescribed Abelisaurid species from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco. So far, presumably only two Abelisaurid species have been found in Morocco's Kem-Kem Beds. An Abelisaurid (Rugops primus) was named after the Echkar Formation in Niger. Ob. Kreide Cenomanium ca. 100 Mill.Jahre This tooth has a very sharp, fine serration along both edges. Length of fossil: ca. 19 mm Locality: Kem-Kem Beds, Morocco The find originates from a collection dispersal
