Display cabinet - Austrian Art Deco storefront window from the 1930s

Elegant Austrian mid-century display cabinet from the 1930s, characterized by a refined Central European Art Déco setting and a spectacular figured wood veneer. The piece presents a particularly functional and refined composition: on the upper part there are two glass sliding doors, ideal for displaying objects and curiosities. The central band houses a tambour with an internal top/bottom shelf, while on the right side there is a compartment with a hinged door, internally equipped with a mirror on the back and glass at the bottom, a particularly elegant solution for displaying glasses, bottles, or decorative items. The lower part consists of two doors with an internal shelf, offering additional storage space. The grande protagonista is the veneer finish, arranged with a careful play of mirrored and geometric grain patterns. The veneer design indeed creates characteristic diamond-shaped motifs and symmetrical forms, perfectly in tune with the decorative taste of Art Déco. The structure is completed by shaped, rounded feet, also typical of Austrian design of the 1930s, and by rounded profiles that soften the rigid geometry of the furniture. A piece particularly interesting for aesthetics, functionality, and quality of the veneer, capable of fitting perfectly in both an Art Déco environment and a contemporary décor seeking a significant antique element. The furniture has been polished, shows normal signs of wear due to age and use. The lock of the bottom doors is decorative.
