Display cabinet - Burrwood, Burr walnut, Bronze

TITLE: MAGNIFICENT AND MONUMENTAL VENEZIAN TRUMEAU IN SOLID WOOD – HEIGHT 260 CM DESCRIPTION: A masterpiece of elegance and visual impact for exclusive interiors. Are you looking for a unique piece of furniture capable of catching the eye and radically transforming the atmosphere of a living room, a study, or an important library? This extraordinary double-body Trumeau (flip top with rise) is the perfect answer. Made in the mid-20th century by Italian master cabinetmakers in full Venetian Baroque / Louis XV style, the piece bears no signatures or inscriptions, presenting itself as a work of high furniture craftsmanship. With its impressive 260 cm height, it stands as a monumental piece with superb dramatic impact, ideal for enhancing rooms with high ceilings. Strengths and Details of Excellence: Stunning Burl Veneering: The entire external surface is clad in precious burl wood (walnut/olive) arranged in geometric reserves and fishbone patterns. The spectacular natural grain creates a play of warm, lively, luxurious shades. Elegant, Curved Lines: The piece features complex contoured and swollen shaping visible on the front and sides. Nothing is squared; every line follows the sinuous grace typical of eighteenth-century grandeur. Coordinated, High-Quality Upholstery: The interior of the upper rise and the base of the main drawers are elegantly lined with a refined light glossy damask fabric, perfect for highlighting the contents. Three Pieces in One (Maximum Functionality): 1 Lower Body: A capacious chest of drawers with three large drawers and magnificent bronze handles and escutcheons with foliate motifs. 2 Central Flip Top: The lowering panel opens to reveal a splendid internal compartment (stipo) with four burl wood document drawers and open compartments, perfectly suited as a secretaire or writing nook. 3 Upper Rise: A majestic two-door display cabinet with shaped glass doors and mirrored panels. Author’s Crest: The furniture is crowned at the top by a sumptuous carved pediment with volutes that centrally encloses a small original shaped mirror. Safety: The doors, drawers, and flip top are prepared for lockable closure with integrated key locks. Monumental Dimensions: Maximum height: 260 cm Maximum width: 130 cm Depth (closed): 62 cm Conditions: The piece is in excellent general vintage condition. It is structurally sound, solid, and ready to be placed in a home. All movable elements (doors, drawers, flip top) slide and operate perfectly. Only very slight and normal signs of aging on the surface testify to its history and authenticity from the mid-1900s (a light and natural era crack on the paneling of the pediment beneath the upper mirror is noted, which does not compromise aesthetics or stability in any way). Clean interior fabric, intact glass and mirrors. The rear photos demonstrate the solidity and health of the wood. NOTE FOR TRANSPORT: To facilitate movement, relocation, and delivery, the piece can be divided into two separate sections (the base chest and the display rise detach easily). Shipping/Pickup Info: Given its monumental size and value, pickup in person in the Milan province is offered exclusively. The seller guarantees maximum availability and cooperation should the buyer wish to appoint their own special transport company or trusted private courier.
