Some stains on the covers, paper slightly yellowed, with no foxing. Rare. Beautiful general catalogue of the House 'Au Planteur de Caïffa', published for the year 1908. The company was founded in 1890 by Michel Cahen and his wife. At first a simple roaster selling a full range of coffees, Michel Cahen transformed his shop into a grocery. He opened two other shops, then many more in the provinces. He remained the specialist in coffee. Adorned with beautiful color-illustrated covers by Adar. The catalogue includes descriptions of food products (coffee, oil, biscuits, noodles), hygiene products (soaps, eau de cologne, toothpaste), kitchen utensils, children's toys, household linens, decorative objects (clocks and lamps, wardrobes, chairs), travel bags, a few watches, a bicycle, etc. Each product is accompanied by an engraving. A page presents the price list of veterinary products for domestic and farm animals. It closes with some advice on “practical medicine” or first aid to administer while waiting for the doctor.
