1972 vintage rhum from Guadeloupe. Domaine de Courcelles 1972 – Vieux Rhum, 54% ABV. An exceptionally rare molasses-based rum from Guadeloupe, distilled in January 1972 and aged in 220-liter casks. Following more than 31 years of maturation, it was transferred to large wooden vats (*foudres*) in November 2003 and bottled in April 2005. Flavor profile: intense, complex, and elegant, with potential notes of ripe tropical fruit, fine woods, spices, tobacco, and cocoa.
