Premium Art Chessboard – “Royal Blue” – No. 1/10 – 49 × 49 cm An exceptional piece, conceived as a true decorative art object and produced in an extremely limited series of only 10 copies. The presented exemplar is No. 1/10, the first number of this Premium edition. With a generous 49 × 49 cm format, the chessboard combines an aluminum playing surface with an elegant cabinet in noble wood, which gives it depth, presence, and a high-end finish. Its graphic composition, dominated by deep blue, white, and gold tones, gives it a spectacular aesthetic, straddling chess tradition and contemporary creation. A true artisanal work The 32 pieces are made of resin and then fully hand-painted, one by one. Every relief, every ornament and every detail receives meticulous painting and finishing work. The blue, white, and gold shades are applied manually to emphasize the particularly rich volumes of the sculptures. Creating a piece of this complexity represents many hours of artisanal work, from piece preparation to the multiple steps of painting and finishing. The numerous detailing requires patience, precision, and meticulousness, which makes each copy slightly different and gives it its own character. The board itself fully participates in the artwork: its very detailed central graphic extends beneath the pieces and transforms the chessboard into a decorative composition in its own right. An especially exclusive edition This Premium version will be produced in only 10 copies worldwide. The edition offered at auction is the highly sought-after: No. 1/10 A number particularly symbolic for a collector as it constitutes the first copy of the edition. The work bears the signature of Kleiner Dominique – Édition Atelier Français, Fécamp and will be accompanied by its numbered certificate of authenticity. Characteristics: Premium chessboard 49 × 49 cm; aluminum playing surface; structure/cabinet in noble wood; 32 resin-sculpted pieces; entire painting done by hand; many hours of work and finishing; edition limited to 10 copies; No. 1/10; certificate of authenticity. Presentation The first photograph is an AI Visualization, created to present the work in a high-end interior setting. The following photographs show the actual piece and allow appreciation of the finesse of the manual work, the reliefs of the pieces, and the painting details. This work is an independent artistic creation. It is not an official Hermès product, and it is neither manufactured, nor published, nor approved by the Hermès house. A chessboard that goes beyond its primary function to become a true collectible piece, halfway between sculpture, art object, and decorative design. By its 49 cm size, its noble wood case, the extreme richness of its hand-painted pieces, and especially its status as No. 1 of only 10 copies, it is one of the most exclusive versions in this series.
