Door handle - 1850-1900 - Antique door hardware

For sale: an exclusive and characterful set of antique brass door handles in the shape of a clenched fist with a crossbar. This high-quality architectural hardware is difficult to date but is believed to be from the 19th century and is in an authentic, lived-in condition. The handles measure 13 cm. The rosettes have a diameter of 7 cm. The distance between the rosettes is about 4.5 cm. • Material: probably solid brass. • Patina: authentic signs of age. One side shows a deep, warm brass sheen; the other side features a beautiful, well-worn green copper patina (removable if desired). • Design: detailed cast door hardware in the shape of a hand gripping a bar. • Completeness: full set for both interior and exterior sides, including the original connecting pin and rosettes. The hardware is in a structurally solid and original condition. The mechanism and pin function properly. The set has intentionally not been cleaned to preserve the historical value and the unique character of the patina. Ships well packed.
