[DORAT]. New Fables. The Hague, and published in Paris, Delalain, 1773. 2 parts in one in-8 volume, midnight blue morocco, Jansenist style, interior lace, edges gilt on marbled paper (Hardy-Mennil). Illustrated by Marillier, including 2 frontispiece titles, 2 figures, a title vignette, 99 headpieces, and 99 tailpieces. Copy on Holland paper. Hardcover copy (see Cohen, col. 314): the end-piece on p. 96 appears different from the one usually engraved in that spot in other copies. Lower margin of the frontispiece and one engraving skillfully remarged in Volume I. One spine split over 2 cm.
