Doyen - Vase (2) - hyalite glass - Two beautiful Doyen vases

Beautiful and harmonious fate of two original Art Deco vases made from deep-black hyalite glass (opaque glass), produced in the 1930s by the renowned Belgian glass factory Verreries Doyen (Havré-Ville). Both vases complement each other perfectly and form a stunning ensemble for the enthusiast of modernist glass. 1. Stepped Vase An iconic model with a very streamlined design. The vase is characterized by four horizontal, stepped rounded bands and a refined, jagged (grooved) collar at the top. The glossy black surface provides a beautiful reflection. • Dimensions: Height: 16 cm Diameter: 7 cm 2. Hand-painted Vase with Cherry Decor An elegant, flaring goblet-style vase featuring a so-called 'cold painting' (cold lacquer). The decor shows a refined branch with golden leaves and contrasting, deep red cherries. Both the supporting ring and the finely grooved upper rim are finished with a gold trimmings. Vases with this specific cherry decor are becoming increasingly rare. • Dimensions: Height: 16 cm Diameter: 11 cm
