In silver. The circular body is decorated with an openwork frieze of lotus flowers and elongated bacchantes. The scroll-shaped handles, resting on palmettes, are topped with griffin busts. The base consists of four legs resting on a square, openwork plinth decorated with floral motifs, supported by four ball-shaped feet. Hallmarks: First Rooster, 1st standard, Paris 1798–1809, and a Greek woman’s head. Unidentified silversmith’s hallmark: ‘MJ’ separated from a thyrsus. Height: 21 cm. Weight: 630 g (Lining missing, minor imperfections). A separate silver lid is included. Hallmarks: Minerva, 1st standard, and silversmith’s mark. Weight: 175 g
