Antique German toilet set and manicure in 800 silver, complete with its original case, dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century, roughly 1890-1920. The set consists of seven coordinated implements, characterized by elegant silver handles with raised floral decoration in Art Nouveau / Jugendstil taste. Present, among others, a glove stretcher, a shoehorn, button hooks, a file, and several tools intended for manicure and personal grooming. The handles bear the hallmark “800,” indicating silver fineness 800/1000, accompanied by the characteristic German hallmarks with crescent moon and crown, system adopted in Germany from the end of the 19th century. The functional parts of the tools are made of steel; on one blade the inscription “ACIER” is also visible. The set is preserved in its green original case, with gilded decorative ridges, metal closures, and an interior lined with light fabric woven with floral motifs. Origin: Germany. Case color: green with gilded decorations and light interior. The set is in good overall condition consistent with its age. Normal silver patina, small scratches, traces of use, and slight oxidations on the steel parts are present. The shoehorn shows some small superficial stains.
