Vintage "Globe" cave à liqueur / Tantalus – Hand-cut Lead Crystal & ormolu – Complete & Perfect Condition Description: A dazzling and fully complete vintage "Globe" liquor set (cave à liqueur) in the luxurious French Napoleon III style. The spherical housing is made of heavy, high-quality hand-cut lead crystal with a deep diamond-cut pattern (diamant-shear). Inside sits the original label with the quality guarantee: "Echt Bleikristall mit Handschliff". The globe rests on a very decorative, gold-plated brass base, supported by three detailed mythological dolphins. The top is finished with a classic pinecone finial. The gold-colored interior is 100% complete and in impeccable condition. It contains the original central decanter and the six accompanying crystal cordial glasses. Condition: In perfect, damage-free condition. The crystal shows no chips or cracks. The metal and gilding work is fully intact and glossy. Very rare in this complete and undamaged condition. Due to the extreme fragility of the crystal, pickup is strongly preferred.
