Dual - CK6 / 1214 Hi-Fi chassis / DMS200 cartridge / New stylus - Turntable

Vintage Dual CK6 / 1214 / DMS200 / New stylus This classic German idler-wheel drive unit has been serviced, cleaned, and freshly lubricated. Unlike the standard 2-pole versions, this specific unit is equipped with the upgraded, high-fidelity 4-pole synchronous motor, allowing it to run smoothly and quiet without interference. Here is the breakdown of each component and what makes this setup special: Dual 1214 (The Turntable/Chassis): A fully automatic, idler-wheel drive turntable produced between 1970 and 1974. It supports three speeds (33, 45, and 78 RPM) and features a pitch control knob for fine speed adjustments. It can also function as a record changer with the appropriate spindle. Dual CK 6 (The Plinth/Console): The factory wood-grain base designed specifically to house Dual's medium-chassis turntables (such as the 1214, 1215, 1216, and 1218). It typically features a walnut or white finish that defines the iconic 70s hi-fi aesthetic. Dual DMS 200 (The Cartridge): A Moving Magnet (MM) phono cartridge manufactured by Audio-Technica to Dual's specifications. It uses a NEW stylus and offers vastly superior sound quality, lower record wear, and wider frequency response compared to the basic ceramic cartridges of the era. All photos are part of the description. Given the age of the product, its operation requires attention and caution in handling. This item is recommended for buyers with some experience in turntable assembly and adjustment. The item will be partially disassembled and prepared for transport. Reassembly and adjustment are the buyer's responsibility. The item will be properly packed and sent via Smart Shipping with insurance.
