Duster - Newel Hunter

Duster by Newel Hunter Painting 20.0 x 16.0 :: Painted on an 16 x 20 x .25 inch canvas panel Duster is a perfect example of Hunter’s uniquely expressive style -- which so often results in arresting images with a sense of depth and sculptural form. The painting is dominated by a large irregular black shape that covers the majority of the canvas with rough uneven edges that reveal white space around the perimeter. The black form is dense and mostly opaque with some areas showing subtle variations in texture and brushstroke giving it a slightly layered and tactile quality. The contrast between the deep black and the stark white background creates a bold striking visual impact emphasizing the raw power of the monochrome palette. This piece captures a strong sense of presence and weight using minimal elements to evoke a profound intensity. The rough brushstrokes and uneven edges add a sense of immediacy and spontaneity suggesting a dynamic and expressive creative process. Duster comes carefully packaged and shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard box for maximum protection. Signed on the back and ready to frame.
