E. García - Chica y su perro XL

CHICA Y SU PERRO is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work depicts an intimate and serene indoor scene: a young woman resting on a yellow sofa while her dog lies in the foreground, in a domestic setting surrounded by large plants and an arched window open to the greenery outside. The composition conveys calm, refuge, and a sense of everyday life elevated to a poetic image. The scene is organized with great visual clarity. The yellow sofa occupies the center of the composition and acts as the painting’s luminous axis. Above it, the female figure appears lying in a relaxed pose, covered by a red blanket that introduces a strong chromatic accent. In the foreground, the white dog stretches out on a multicolored rug, adding closeness, balance, and an emotional counterpoint that reinforces the domestic character of the work. In the background, the large blue window and the tropical leaves frame the scene and open the space toward a cooler, more vegetal atmosphere. The color palette is intense, luminous, and expressive. Ernest García combines vibrant yellows, deep blues, saturated greens, bright reds, and touches of white with a clear Fauvist sensibility. The contrast between the yellow sofa, the blue interior architecture, and the red blanket creates a very lively chromatic tension, while the greens of the plants introduce an organic breathing within the space. The brushwork is visible, fluid, and deliberate, with bold outlines that simplify forms and give them a strong presence. The figure, the dog, the furniture, and the vegetation are built through a synthetic language that recalls certain solutions of Fauvism, naive art, and modern figuration. Rather than describing minutiae, the painting seeks to condense the emotion of the scene through color, shape, and compositional rhythm. The work shows affinities with the tradition of colorful interior scenes of Henri Matisse and with certain intimate painting of the 20th century, where domestic life, rest, and the relationship between figure, animal, and space acquire a symbolic value. Without falling into mere anecdotal description, Ernest García transforms an everyday scene into an image of great visual and emotional strength. The atmosphere is one of contemplation, well-being, and silence. The sleeping young woman and the lying dog suggest trust, companionship, and a pause suspended in time. That sense of rest, combined with the painting’s chromatic intensity, makes the work particularly evocative. Chica y su perro will be especially appealing to collectors interested in contemporary figurative painting, interior scenes, women at rest, dogs in art, interiors with plants, Fauvist painting, colorful art, Henri Matisse, poetic figuration, and Spanish contemporary art. For its balance between intimacy, modernity, and chromatic power, it is a work with great appeal for collection and auction. Autenticidad y Envío: The work is offered directly by E.
