All auctions / Contemporary Art / E. García - Flores en el balcón XL (No reserve)
"Flowers on the Balcony" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work builds a bright Mediterranean scene through open doors that lead the gaze to a balcony facing the sea. In the foreground, two vases with white, yellowish and reddish flowers are cut against the turquoise intensity of the water, while a small fruit basket introduces a domestic and warm note. The composition uses the door as a frame within the painting itself, creating depth and establishing a dialogue between interior and exterior. Beyond the railing, the sea stretches in broad bands of cobalt blue, turquoise, and ultramarine until it reaches a mountainous coastline on the horizon. The dark greens of the doors and the red of the interior intensify the color contrast and draw the eye toward the luminosity of the landscape. The brushstroke is visible, free, and expressive, especially in the water, the flowers, and the mountains. The treatment of color and the simplification of forms show affinities with post-impressionism and fauvism, as well as with the modern tradition of windows and balconies opening to the Mediterranean, a motif recurrent in artists such as Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy. "Flowers on the Balcony" conveys light, serenity, and an intense sense of summer. The union of nature, architecture, and landscape transforms a daily scene into an image of contemplation and well-being, especially appealing to collectors of contemporary figurative painting, Mediterranean landscapes, coastal scenes, flowers, and interiors with sea views. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping. After payment confirmation, a period of three days is required to prepare the piece and send it. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten working days."
