E. García - HIGOS XL (no reserve)

HIGOS is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this painting, sobriety of color becomes the protagonist. The composition is built on a range of deep violets and purples that envelop the scene in an almost nocturnal, intimate, and restrained atmosphere. Three figs occupy the center, two of them cut open revealing their reddish, delicate interior. The contrast between the dark, satin skin and the vibrant pulp creates a visual tension that immediately draws the eye. The seeds, treated with small, luminous brushstrokes, add texture and precision against the more abstract and gestural background. The green leaf and the small reddish fruits in the foreground introduce a subtle chromatic counterpoint that balances the intensity of the dominant purple. The light seems to concentrate on the fruit, highlighting it with a soft modeling that gives it volume and sculptural presence. The brushwork in the background is freer, almost abstract, creating depth without distracting from the main subject. This contrast between detail and gesture amplifies the sensation of silent contemplation. Figs is a still life of introspective character: sensual, elegant, and deeply chromatic. A work that celebrates the richness of matter and the beauty contained in simplicity. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping.
