E. García - La habanera XL

LA HABANERA is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This painting is a homage to everyday elegance, to identity and to the character of a woman who seems to carry the spirit of an entire city. Depicted from the back and in a slight profile, the figure conveys a serene and confident presence, wrapped in an atmosphere of warm light and vibrant color. The composition relies on a powerful chromatic contrast: the intense red of the blouse dialogues with the deep blue of the background, while the pink and pale tones of the architecture bring a sense of tropical warmth. The free and expressive brushstroke gives the scene movement and vitality, as if a soft breeze were sweeping through the nearby streets. Although the figure remains still, the work is full of suggestions. Her contemplative posture, her tied-back hair, and her earrings evoke a strong and elegant personality. She does not look at the viewer; she seems absorbed in her own thoughts, observing something beyond the frame of the painting. That distance creates an aura of mystery that invites us to imagine her story. “La habanera” does not aim to portray a specific person, but to capture an essence: that of the women who inhabit luminous cities by the sea, where beauty coexists with memory, nostalgia, and resilience. Modernity and tradition, simplicity and sophistication intertwine in it. The work is, ultimately, a celebration of feminine character and cultural identity. A silent portrait whose strength lies in attitude, color, and the ability to suggest much more than it shows. AuthentiCity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping.
