E. García - Lucía y su gato XL

"Lucía and her cat" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work features the portrait of a young woman calmly holding a white cat in her arms. The figure, with a frontal gaze and contained expression, nearly fills the entire composition, surrounded by large leaves and vegetal motifs that unfold across a vibrant orange background. The dark green dress, black hair, and the vegetation create a strong contrast with the warm tones of the background, while the white of the cat, the embroidered collar, and the jewelry bring luminosity to the scene. The collar, earrings, and small ornamental details reinforce the elegant and timeless character of the portrait. The simplification of forms, the use of defined contours, and the broad surfaces of color recall certain solutions of fauvism and modern figurative painting, with decorative echoes of Henri Matisse and a sensibility close to Frida Kahlo’s portrait, understood only as aesthetic affinities. An intimate and decorative work in which the bond between the woman and the animal becomes protagonist. Especially appealing to collectors interested in female portraits, cats, companion animals, botany, figurative art, contemporary painting, and color-intense compositions. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself.
