E. Tivoli (XIX-XX) - Ritratto d'epoca di nobildonna

Fascinating half-length portrait of a mature woman with a serene, intense, and noble demeanor. The painting magnificently captures the fashion and aesthetics of the late 19th century or the early 20th century. The figure wears a sober dark dress, adorned with a pristine white collar, fastened at the center by a finely decorated brooch. Her gray hair, elegantly wavy and neatly gathered, frames a face rendered with notable technical skill, evident especially in the delicacy of the skin tones and in the deep, expressive gaze. The work is presented within a splendid and important contemporaneous frame in carved and gold leafed wood. The frame features refined incised details and an inner lacquered band in a dark shade (blue/black), creating a superb color contrast that frames and enhances the painting in a magistral way. The painting measures 23.5x18.5. The frame visible in the photo is included as a courtesy and does not constitute an integral part of the work.
